Anyone have any comments on the new re-pop upper control arms besides them probably being made in China ?

Anyone use them with good or bad results?

I put a set in a 1968 Charger a few years ago. Fit fine. And as far as I know owner has never had any issues

Several people offer them.

Vary in price but not sure they are all the same actual manufacturer.

Someone told me they are about .020” thinner material than OE.

FWIW, my original 1969 A-body upper control arms are stamped from 0.150" steel sheet.

A few years back , I had to return two sets

The ball joints where loose , they are threaded in , not pressed

Went to torque them up , stripped

Another , ball joint was cross threaded , and yes it’s obvious thinner material on the steel

Customer service was excellent on who I bought from at the time

I still have my factory pair - Would bee nice to sandblast , powder coat - The key is though , make sure when removing old ball joints , the threads are still good in the control arms

Several outfits sell them - they appear to all come from the same place, likely China.

I bought a set, we’ll see how they hold up.

They are indeed thinner than production arms. I don’t see an issue as long as I don’t go off roading with my car.

I used them and found the ball joints are undersized, I replaced them with Moog and problem solved.

Recent purchase or a while back?

What was undersize?
