On my wife's 2013 durango that I rebuilt for her about 60,000 miles ago it is having a weird function with the HVAC controls. The passenger side only blows hot air no matter the temp setting on the passenger side. It is the same be it defrost, vent or floor. When I rebuilt it the air bags went off so had to put another dash panel in it but used the original components(radio, cluster,HVAC) When we started driving it the rear seat area only would blow out of the floor and not the ceiling. I naturally figured had missed a wire plug in but wasn't sure if maybe the fan in the rear had died. So I took the panel off the rear to check the fan and it was working. The door switch from floor to ceiling was functioning as well. So I for the time being rigged up a switch set up the kids could power the fan with as we were set to leave for a long cross country trip and did not have time to yank the dash panel out to check it out. Well naturally life and working on cars all day long gets in the way and not gotten back on it. So what might be the chance the HVAC controls is actually my issue all along? Anyone have ideas or faced the same issues?

My apologies, its called a blend door actuator. If your pass side is the one that may have $hit the bed, consider yourself lucky. I noticed a calibration video on YouTube as well, you may want to peep that if this is your problem.
And just a fwiw, I would replace the gear and motor if the problem lies there.
