The original Gone In 60 Seconds was a 1974 film.

Although not from 71 a few years later, I remember going to the drive-in to see "Aloha, Bobby and Rose". The protagonist drove a hot first gen Camaro and had some good street action. Fairly obscure movie.

Vanishing point and Two Lane Blacktop are the only car movies on that list.

Another article written by some idiot that probably never drove a V8 car, never shifted a manual transmission and couldn't rebuild a carburetor if he were threatened with bungee.

Wifey signed us up for Prime video and so far I can't find "Two Lane Blacktop", "Heart Like a Wheel", or "Vanishing Point" in the list of movies. Don't know what the deal is with that. Prime does have "Bullit" and "Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry".

I'll bet you can buy DVD's of those three really cheap. I've got a collectors edition of DM/CL & VP. Heart Like a Wheel I don't have.
