helping out a friend with dual rochester carbs. its a 32 coupe very light ! The old hemi is stock cam , so its a small power plant , factory rated.140 hp my question bolting on an additional cfm and fuel i would think a progresive linkage set up my be the way to go. Low compression 7 -1. any one with experience with bolting on additional carb on a low hp engine . Well, FWIW, I put a second carb on my 218 flathead, direct linkage. But that's more due to the intake design than anything else. I would look at the intake and visualize how progressive linkage might starve some cylinders.

I put an Offenhauser 3 X 2 manifold with Rochester 2G carburetors on my 241 Hemi with great results. My engine was built up with higher compression, reground cam, headers, and Mallory ignition, etc.. It never felt like too much carburetor.. The linkage and fuel lines were fabricated by Hotrod Carburetion out of Holden, Missouri. This was a number of years ago so I don't know if they are still around. I tried to include a picture of my setup, but no luck. Be cool to see. I have a 241 sitting on a pallet. Is it this manifold?

the price isn't that bad for the craftsmanship. i am surprised. as these are special ordered, the turnaround time of 3-6 weeks isn't bad either. Anutter fine report from THE GUY who worked on these carbs when they were considered HI TECH ..... ........ baaaaack in the day ! .,way waaaay back !

finally got the 33 dodge running. the 2 carbs with the linkage runs sweet. just have to tune them in with a vacuum gauge, real happy on the throttle response. next get the rest of the car done.

i like the car just the way it is ! if that is an iron intake, could that be a truck item ? i remember some pictures i ran across one time showing either a truck or an industrial, may have even been a marine application, that was a factory dual carb intake that wasn't a 2-4 intake. shortly after i saw those pictures, there was the same intake popped up on the feebag. it was just the intake, but i was out bid. this was many years ago, and i haven't seen any since, although i haven't been looking very hard either.

back around 1974 or so, i saw an add in the NSRA [National Street Rod Association] publication, Street Scene, for some chrome 392 hemi parts. they were only $35-40.00 [i forget exactly] so i bought them, sight unseen. when they showed up, they were pretty daggone nice ! valve covers, spark plug covers, brackets, water pump and housing, pulleys, etc. i waxed them up, put them in newspaper, and stashed them away. when i bought this house in 1983, the box this stuff was in made it's way to the "junk room". fast forward to about a month or 6 weeks ago, i started to clean out the "junk room". [anyone need any christmas decorations ? ] anyway, i knew this stuff was in there and i came across the box. unpacked it, and was shocked at what i saw ! now not to worry, the chrome is just as nice as it was all those years ago when i packed the stuff away. what i discovered was, this stuff is for a 241, NOT a 392 ! AND, it just so happens, i HAVE a 241 on the shelf ! looks like i have a 241 build in my future.
