I see conflicting info - it’s my understanding the maxwedge 3447/3795 floats are the same. Right or wrong?

How about the AVS float - same as the maxi’s?

the small avs uses the small float like edelbrocks with the .093" needle and seat. the big avs uses the big float with .110" needle and seat from the factory. i haven't messed with those carbs in decades but pretty sure they had the larger float.

Almost all if not all Chrysler original AFBs used the 21-179 float. Considered the large one. Needles were .0935 and .1015. The 3447 used large float and .1015 seat. The very early 1958 used the 21-188 small smooth float but was superceeded with the 21-179.

AVS used two different floats. The 21-241 and 21-245. There are differences but I would have to go back and look at them to tell you what they are, but shape and how it operates on needle if I remember correctly. Seats were 25-1031 and 1032. I think at some point kits went generic with the .110 and .120 seats.

At some point only one float became available in the aftermarket even under carter name. Later catalogs only showed one float and with a new carter part number.
