I recently had my car in the body shop, for the last 4 months, due to some idiot damaging it. Long story. I had to get the whole car painted. The body shop took off the rear tail light housing, bumper, etc. I picked the car up today and drove it home and now the brake lights on the right side don't work. The left side works and the tail lights on both sides work. It's just the right brake lights. Is there a ground wire on the right side? And where would it be? The steering wheel was never pulled.

If the tail light works its probally not a ground problem Check the bulb to be sure its good and installed the correct way they can be put in backwards and that its the correct bulb Thats the easiest Then get a test ligt apply brake and see if it has power Same with turn signal.Should have power with both.Rocky

. Pulled the battery cables off for over night. This morning dead battery. Is this coincidence or part of the right brake light not working? The battery is bad, it should not loose it charge overnight when it is disconnected I would get the old one back and have the body shop give you back the money they charged you for the defective battery

when the pink wire was not making contact at the pedal switch both brake lights would have been non op. You may have jostled another connector when you were under there that restored contact. Keep an eye on it. for a start I would pull apart then reconnect all the connectors under there related to the TS harness Good idea. Thanks

look close at the connection on the steering column where the turn signal switch connects to the body harness. that connection can cause all sorts of problems. look for loose or broken/cracked terminals as well as for signs of melting of the plastic connecting blocks caused by high resistance [loose or corroded] of the terminals. Will do. Thanks.
