Yes, I know all this. I am using my own real damper puller with the crank bolt head as a pushing surface, just as was mentioned. Damper won't budge. Some fear that the wrench will break (or the puller!) before the puller finally yanks it off. That's why I was asking about possible stuff to soak it with and let it sit a while. I've tried a spray penetrating fluid that so far hasn't helped.

Can you get at the puller main bolt to give a good hard rap with a BFH to jar it while it has alot of tension on the damper.
