Chip....front travel with tight shocks works great.....im not saying dont limit it, but its working great now. My opinion is tighter front shock settings and move some weight up front. Is the battery in the trunk? maybe relocate it back up front? or move something to get more weight on the nose. I think thats what will really help it. In that second vid its climbing the ring gear and looks like ....."oh $hit" almost went over...LMAO
Looking good though !!! Nice power wheelies !!!

Tony...I still have some more adjustment up front to tighten the rebound. That has worked great so far, but I'm fairly certain I'll still have a wheelie issue even w/ them at full tight as I bring the nitrous in quicker.
The good pass where it did the power wheelie was .3 sec of delay and a 1.8 sec ramp from 10%-100%. 19.5° of timing. I was footbraking it also.
My previous best looked almost identical on video, but it was .17 sec delay and a 1.6 sec ramp w/ 22 degrees of timing. Old tuneup before I sent it to Induction Solutions and had it flowed/fixed. It definitely seems to be making more power. Gained 1 mph in the 1/8 with 2.5 degrees less timing than before.
Having to leave so soft to keep the front down is killing my ET. It went 1.430 to the sixty foot on the back tires, so it's still not going under 1.30 yet.

My goal for last weekend was to just get a decent A-B pass so I could read plugs and make sure I don't hurt anything again. Pistons are expensive, lol.

I think I can send these FRONT Vikings back and have them set up w/ their tighter valving. That will give me more adjustment.
Then again, I have friends telling me to put limiters on it now. My intention next time out is to try the limiters and see what happens.

I can't put the battery back up front b/c of the way my motorplate is done. Space is very limited under the hood of my car. Motorplate, vacuum pump, big radiator, etc. I'd have to go to one of those little lithium batteries or something similar.
I've been wanting to mount the nitrous bottle in a removable bracket that will fit in or over the passenger seat. That'd get some weight further forward.

Sounds good , lots of ways to approach this . Good luck . Your definitely soft on you tune up . Imagine if you could go 10-100% in under one second and no delay ? Definitely a lot of et on the table there . Nice ! ! It’s going to be real fast once you get it figured out and get after it !

Nice pedaling/shift to save those headers and other stuff LOL. 2nd pass it left nice and smooth. Good deal on the Vikings. There is definitely some room on improving with tighter valving if it can be done with those shocks, but limiters are definitely gonna be of benefit to calm it down so you can get after it. The tire will take the hit depending how you're progressing it once you get the front end straightened out. Impressive for sure man.

You running a plate or fogger from SJ?

Wes

Thanks yall...everything happens so fast I'm surprised I've done as well as I have when it has stood up!

Wes...it's basically a 4500 Sledgehammer plate, but I'm using the NOS Pro Race solenoid instead of the Trashcan. I'm spraying 300 hp right now, but have tunes up to 485 hp. If I go any further I'll need to change the cam. If the front end will stay down and I can get after it pretty good, this thing will go faster than I ever intended on just the 300 jetting. So I think I'm good for now, lol.

Nice setup for sure and its definitely working. Once you get the front-end squared away it'll make you greedy for more LOL!! Nice piece, Chip.

Keep doing those wheelies Chip.
I am a wheelie guy and I really enjoy carrying out a nice controlled wheelie. Everyone enjoys seeing it at the track. I know some have said NAY but my best 60 fts have always been with a wheelie.
Everyone always has their signature photo with their best wheelie.

Thanks Wes!

Mike...LOL, I completely agree! I want to tie it down and see how fast it'll go. Then I'll probably loosen it back up b/c, like you said, a nice controlled wheelie is fun!
When I occasionally do a little heads up race, I'll do what I need to so it'll go fast. Otherwise, I like carrying it a little ways.

NICE! you're definitely doing right sneaking up on it! Revalving the fronts may just do the trick.
