340swing OP enthusiast Joined: Jul 2008 Posts: 313 Ct, Oxford	Does anyone on here own a car with a 3spd manual transmission? I have a 70 cuda convertible with a three speed . The problem is it sounds like an old army Jeep in first gear. As soon as you go to second gear the noise is gone. My guess it’s the way the gear is cut and unfortunately normal. Just looking for anyone who can confirm this.

It is not all the same internals as an A230 from an LA or /6. The noise mentioned is likely a bearing or from the coutnershaft/needle bearing area. These items should be procurable.
