Other than the wheel/tire combo it looks damn nice to me. At least it doesn't have an LS in it.

Unsure of the issue here? Looks like a decent car? My buddy has a 67 Coronet R/T Convert......all the #s stuff was gone when he got it...it now wears a 540" hemi and a beautiful resto. He drives the hell out of it. What should happen to these cars...IMO get put together and driven!!

Dang I realize big wheels have been the rage for over 20 years now but to me when they're on a classic its like taking 1960 John Wayne or 1970 Steve McQueen and making them wear Richard Rawlings tight skinny leg jeans while sporting a man bun.

Nothing wrong with that car that a nice set of 15 inch aftermarket vintage rims couldn't fix......Nice car, but needs a color change IMHO

It's WAY nicer than anything I will ever have, but the trunk no fitting properly and the right corner of the hood being too low
jumped out at me. Maybe it's just that the rest of the car is so nice that those things stand out.

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow.

Girls comb their hair in rear view mirrors and the boys try to look so hard....

The wheel design is ok, but they are too big and there is not enough tire sidewall. Big wheels are heavy so there is no reason to use them other than if your looking to install larger diameter brakes.

The rest of the car looks ok to me.

At least they didn’t chop the roof like Dave Kindig did to one of these a couple of years ago. That said, I can’t stand the billet crap under the hood. The wheels are ugly. And to top it all off, I don’t like pistol grip shifters in cars that didn’t come with them from the factory.

However, I would more concerned with what is hiding under that shiny paint.

Anyone know what “drives out” means?

I've seen this said a number of times. Why does this bother people? I think the pistol grip is one thing that is very Mopar...you don't see it anywhere else. Why does it matter if it's added to a Mopar that didn't have it available new? Different thoughts if it's added to a non-Mopar but in a Mopar? Gotta ask because I put one in my 69 B'cuda.....don't care if ya like it or not....I love it!!

And the pistol grip is not only cool it only came in mopars. Slapstick shifter is unique and cool- factory ratcheting shifter only from mopar.

Personal preference. Why do some guys prefer blondes over brunettes or redheads?

Seems like you care what I think since you said you had to ask because you put one in your ‘69 Barracuda.

"Drives out" equates to "runs & drives" in some parts of the Country.

Agreed on the wheels, billet stuff, and pistol grips being for '70-up.
But if it's just bolt-on stuff, it's easily corrected.
Crappy repairs, bodywork, and paint are killers.

Camaros and trans and had a ratcheting shifter in the ‘70’s. If you pushed the shifter to the right and up into the next gear, it would ratchet forward. Not many people know about that, because it wasn’t advertised. Pontiac and Oldsmobile also offered the “ his and hers” shifters.

The one with the door you moved over was a Hurst. Pontiac used it '66 ~ '68, I think, in 1969 they switched to the Rally Sport shifter, push it to the right allowed only one upshift at a time.

^^^ Might have been. My '67 GTO had one, but honestly I never bothered with it...

NICE! All the late 70s Camaro owners I knew that were not aware of this. Everyone installed a B&M Megashifter when they already had a ratcheting fwd pattern shifter!
