Very impressive.....Granted, there aren't many Mopars, but looking at how fast these guys run on those little tires is really somthing...

The other thing I like, many of them closely resemble the original car they started with....That's my favorite part about it I guess. They don't look like some smashed eggshell like the prostocks...

Seeing those guys try to walk on all that glue brought a smile to my face!
I was there a couple of years ago with a friend, and walked right out of my shoe.
If you've never been to one of the Duck X races, you're missing out.
Great stuff, and some of the best heads up racing you will ever see.

It may be ugly, but it sure is slow.

Girls comb their hair in rear view mirrors and the boys try to look so hard....

I love these cars and the performance is astounding but the truth is unless the track is flypaper non of them would get down the track.

They can and do. They just have to tune for the conditions.

That's not the only track/event that runs 275 classes those guys race at. Lights out and YB Nationals just happen to be the biggest events and have the best prep ensuring the fastest times.

We run a 275 Drag radial and I never cease to be amazed at the power it can hold.

Holly Springs MS used run some fast radial stuff too, don't know if they still do. The 275 and 235 classes are all about power management.

One of the best X275 racers, Rob Goss, leaves about 125 miles of me. If I remember correctly he and his team won the NMCA X275 championship last year. They have a black, new body style, Challenger. They need to paint it though. It is black.

Why does he need to paint it? I think it looks amazing in gloss black with green lettering.

I always browse the qualifying sheets for X275 to see if Goss is in attendance. Love watching that class and especially his car. Amazing how fast they go on a small tire. Just saw this on BMP's facebook in regards to the U.S. Street Nationals at the end of the month.

"Will Titan Motorsports be able to get the win this year? Last year they were the runner up to X275 champion Rob Goss! $10,000 reasons to buy your X275 tech card today!"

PS, his car shows up at 5:10 on that video Dragula linked to.

It looks like to me that those cars don't have much, if any, chassis movement at the hit but due have it after letting go of the trans brake, very stiff chassis set up maybe?
Some, not many, of those cars have a lot more chassis movement than the others have work

Cab, at tracks like South Georgia the cars are pretty much locked down. The track is prepped to a level that the cars don't need much suspension to work.

Seeing most of those cars run over 150 MPH in the 1/8 mile and well into the mid to low 4 second range tells me that they are making a lot of power bow
Getting those cars to leave hard enough to run those ET and MPH tells me that they really have their act together bow up
I have a friend who has gone 4.17 at 134.+ MPH at 2900 Lbs. in the 1/8 mile on a outlaw 10.5 inch tire that is way bigger than those guys are racing on work

The track prep is like glue, so I am sure that helps a little

Tire management. The tuners earn their pay.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.
