I had a set of Stage V Hemi valve covers mill, engraved, for a local customer, he wanted 572 Hemi on them. I had them polished before the work per his request, ended up those casting where not worth having polished They where wrinkle finished black originally. I took them to a local machine shop out in Prineville, OR and he, the shop owner, did the software prep and then had his CNC mill do the work. My customer likes it so I'm happy over that. He put the engraving on the top 1/3 of the valve covers above the spark plug tube holes on the flat surface their The motor is not here and I don't have any pictures of that work so I can't post pictures of it, sorry

I know this is the race section, guys on here pretty resourceful.
What I what to find is a place that will do some custom text milling for me, for example, like what you sometimes see on valve covers.
I believe this is not the same as "engraving".
I also would like a fancy font for what I am doing, a custom plaque.
Any company or individual ? Milling or Engraving is not much different. I normally hear it referred to as engraving. Do you know what you want? I may be able to help............

I made some data plates for my restored Leece Neville cop car alternator. Another Moparts member did the artwork and I "engraved" the lettering.

Chemical etching can be done surprisingly deep and detailed. Any font that can be printed can be etched. I have a picture on my pc that I will post when I get a chance.

Mark, I would be happy to do the Gcode for you on this project. Just let me know. Thanks Ron! I will send you an email tonight. I worked on it some last night but am finding a hard time finding a good font.
