I could have used one of those years ago before White Post was the leading option. I don't know if those are any good, but the reviews on it seem pretty good. The seller though, not so much. If you get it you can try just swapping over the cap and gasket to see if that solves your problem.

Is it the gasket and lid corrosion, or is it non flat/corrosion on the MC lip?

I had switched the gasket with another aftermarket reman I have on the shelf. same result a few days later.
no signs of rust or pits on the top edge of the casting. But I have no real way to ck if its flat. Lid lays flat on the table with no gasket in it .

Im going to switch lids next and see what that nets me,

Im kind of thinking I may switch to disc brakes somewhere down the road ,,,,but wasnt planning to do that for another couple years , If at all.

I saw these all new drum brake master cylinders and wondered about quality for the price

If the MC is off the car, turn it upside down and rub it around on some sandpaper on a dead-flat surface.
It'll be easy to see if it's not flat, and I'd suspect the area at the bolt threads may be raised.
Look closely at the bolt area on the cap as well, verify that the lid seals before the bolt bottoms out.
Even decades ago, I had one that would seep, but I can't swear that it was OEM.

OK - does the area around the threads appear raised ?
A straightedge and feeler gauges is another way to check.
If that area's raised enough, might even be a witness on the seal.
I'm assuming the bolt is proper length, not bottoming out.

None,

I pulled the lid and sit it on the tool box top. Has a slight rock to it but not hate full.

Switched it one another lid and gasket form a reman unit I have on the shelf .
Time will tell if it fixes it

I have used one and it worked perfectly and looks really good too . I think I got it from Pirate Jacks.

i stumbled onto the original lid from my 69 charger. it's now in the pile of "stuff" i no longer have use for.
if yours still develops a leak, PM me here, and i'll check out my lid for straightness. [which i will do anyway, but will do it now if necessary]
