"Turbo" John Burris also passed in 2010. Those guys were wild men! Fred was a gentleman and sorely missed.

RIP Hemi Fred

I remember he came into a track rental we had at Atco and they ran that RR that day. Those guys were real cool and their crew could really get things done quick. They had a tranny problem....and they ripped that unit out and tore it apart to fix it and had it back up and running in , like an hour and half. I believe that machine ran high 7’s with maybe 1/2 - 2/3 track run. I have video of those runs. Insane!! I miss Hemi Fred.

I too miss Fred, he had a great sense of humor. I always liked when he, Bob and a few others would tell stories from back in the day. Bob still posts from time to time, but I miss the insight he provided from a lifetime of racing.

I bought the Strange brakes on the front of my Dart from Fred. He had bought them to use on his S&M Duster but something had been modified with the front spindles and they wouldn't work so he sold them to me.

The blown Duster was on Racing Junk not too long ago in Missouri. The Road Runner was on Facebook marketplace along with the turbo Hemi which was in pieces. That stuff ended up going to someone near me here in Central PA...none of it was in good condition to say the least.

Supposedly everything else is tied up with Fred's daughter.

No. Fred's old car hasn't been ran since he was living.

Fred was a great guy . I run an RB in my car but at one time Fred offered me a complete hemi to run in my car . He wanted me to keep racing when I had some engine problems . Pretty big thing I thought to offer a complete high dollar engine to borrow .
