Block was cast on April 15 1968. Assembled very late in 68 model year- 1st one assembled on June 11 1968 (maybe too late of assembly date for a '68). Non original trans out of a '66 383-4. Non original 489 rear diff '69-'74.

Hard to make out the yellow stamp date on the diff, maybe 9-18 ?
There may be another such stamped date on the left axle tube, clean that area carefully. Should be a later assy date than the diff.
What's the SPD (scheduled production date) on the fender tag ?
Any upper engine block pad stamps ?
As for the car itself: a '68-'69 will have J in VIN (5th position) and rosette VIN tag rivets.
Also K-frame sump guard, reinforcement plate on floor for pinion snubber, rear spring mount gussets & plates.
Hemi-specific underhood harness.
Oil pan bolt in pic is non-factory, FWIW.

Welcome to Moparts, there are a lot of really good & sharp folks here.

Ratroaster- Thank you, very much ! Should any of these numbers match the VIN or Production number on Fender Tag ?

Not any of the numbers you show. '68's were stamped on top rear of the engine right next to the transmission mounting flange. Kinda hard to get at when its in the car. These numbers should match the last 8 digits of the vin....

That is what someone else had said, told me to remove air cleaner - cover the carbs with a clean shop rag and climb up on fender and engine and look down !
Not thinking that is going to happen !
So all the other numbers I posted are kind of useful and not.
I Really thank you guys for the insight.

Crap.

What I do is lay a thick blanket over the grille & rad support area, and kinda lay on top of the carbs.
(One advantage to being skinny laugh2)
There's some debate over when they started stamping the partial VIN there, might be 1/1/68, don't know for certain.
Not uncommon for Hemis to have been replaced back in the day, or for people to stamp them after the fact (been a problem with Vettes for decades).
Reinforcement at front spring mount you posted is correct for Hemi car.
Original fuel line on them was 3/8, with a small vapor separator can near the alternator, commonly discarded/missing.
Original exhaust if still present would have resonators and chrome tips.
Wiper motor should be plated 3-speed, not black 2-speed, to clear air cleaner (Also check dash switch).
