Big Block MP “recipe” article from the 80’s #2865672

Anyone happen to have a copy of it lying around?

I believe it was Car Craft, and they started out with a basically stock 440 type of build, then made several changes to the combo(heads, intakes, cams) until they ended up with the Weiand TR with 2x750’s on it making over 600hp.

I’m surprised that I can’t even find a reference to it on line.

No, it was way before that.

Iirc, it was done at Arrow racing engines.

They basically built it around the MP recommended packages.

Edit: never mind....... looks like Ive asked this question before:

Did you ever find the article? I remember reading that article and I know I kept it around for years and years but I think I finally tossed it when I cleaned out all my old magazines.

I got Car Craft where Bill Bagshaw made 511hp with a 509 cam 440.
