Ok, Short version of the story is.

Car I just bought has the upper body edge trim .
All 3 pieces on the drivers side is NOS.
Pass side front fender and pass side rear quarter trim , is also NOS.
My issue is the Pass side door molding is NOT. Its Nice and looks great,,,,, EXCEPT I can tell its not as nice as the pieces butting up to each end

I'm looking for an NOS door molding but Im not gonna hold my breath in hopes of finding one.

Is there someone I could / should send the one moulding to to be stripped and replated ?
In hopes it matches the pieces that meet it.

Send all 3 pieces out on that side that way they should / better match , Deep down I think sending all 6 pieces out seems waste of money to me.

OR should I live with it like it is

Every other piece of anodized trim is in fact nos, including the trunk finish panel

If an NOS part has no shelf wear, should be a match to the other NOS moldings.
Not gonna fall out of a local tree, though.
Sending the 3 from one side out for refinishing should result in a perfect match, or send one with the offending part so the polisher/anodizer has a reference.
It would be a special person who can compare both sides at the same time if a proper job is done.
Either way, might be wise to avoid the Hemi Surcharge...

Get in touch with Jim Drain- Pinnelas Park Florida IIRC. He's the 66/67 Guru. If anyone has this part NOS or an excellent original it would be him. I unfortunately no longer have his contact info. I believe Scott Smith "Harms" knows him well. Best of luck and Merry Christmas!
