I love my bike at the track., I get alot of miles on it and it starts every time I want it to. Just put new tires on it. After 6 years I wore the original ones out. Bike is only used at the track, I get some miles on it.

Cart is great for the gang though, and when someone needs a tow.

I have a 24' trailer V Nose with work bench in the front. I had a gas golf cart that I turned sideways and hauled my FBody car with plenty of room. It takes a little while to get the cart in sideways but it worked just fine. My trailer is an 8' wide trailer and the golf cart had plenty of room. I had a lot of people ask how I did it and I would show them how simple it was.

I have used a golf cart for the last 15 yrs (and a Bike) last year I used a 4 Wheeler and next year I am going back to a Golf cart (and a Bike). As far as a 24 ft trailer and a golf cart it depends on the type of racing you do. All local close to home or travel where you may need to have room for other things. My old trailer was a 36ft Gooseneck (actual 28ft cargo floor) and to have the car weight over the trailer wheels there was 18-24in between the car and golf cart. Also consider the capacity of the trailer, Golf carts weight about 700 lbs, most of which will be added to the tongue weight and overall weight. A typical 24 ft trailer weighs in at 3000lbs, plus car weight, tools and a golf cart can add up quick and get you over the GVWR.
There are good thing to say about either a golf cart or 4 wheeler and even a bike.
In my case we push/pull the car to the lanes and back up the return road. The 4 wheeler was adequate for pushing but only seated one unless the other (crew of two plus me) was seated on the rack on the front. A golf cart can carry two and have room for other things safely. A bike can do neither (push nor pull a car) and we are too old to ride on the handle bars.
All that being said its still up to you but I think it will be tight.

I bought a new 7000 Lb. gross rated Pace 22 Ft. Shadow to tow with my old motor home, I was told by the salesman at the trailer dealership it would weigh 2900 lbs. empty with no options, he lied rant I picked it up at the Pace factory in Hurricane Utah and they weighed it before I took it home, it weighed a little over 4300 Lbs. with two strips of E track, two 48 inch Florniece (SP?) lights and one bench cabinet up front.
I bought it to haul my old street and strip Duster that weighed a little over 3000 Lbs. wet ready to drive, the trailer was illegal to use with that car in it whiney
I upgraded the tires from C rated to D rated and ended up selling the trailer to another racer that had a 1967 BB Corvette S/S that he hauled in it, he ask me to buy it and I told him about the true empty weight shruggy

24' Haulmark w/ my '70 cuda and a golf cart parked in front. Drive the golf cart straight in from the back, up as far as possible, then the cuda fits, but it's tight. No problems though.
The golf cart is in the trailer in this pic...

Actually more and more of the bracket races are having golf cart races as part of the program. Its actually a good time. Last one we ran was in Salt Lake and the pot was $4400!!

Mine is so my dad can go with me to the track. He can't do a whole lot of walking anymore. Need something to pull the car back to the trailer to read plugs too.

I have a 24' trailer with small side door, I use to load through end and spin the cart sideways with a floor jack up against my 2' work bench, gave me about 18'-6" for the car. Golf cart was a 1990 ezgo that I neatly sectioned 4" off the back fenders to facilitate spanning it.

I hear the guys with “pretty hair” really dig the golf carts with roofs on them. I guess it keeps the dew off the DEW.

It is a bracket race, dial in deal. Race is to the 330' cone and there was a cart with a Busa engine in it at that raced. Plenty with the v twin swap too. Was won by a stock EZ Go gasser.

Cart with a Busa engine in it....I would start to play golf if I had THAT to drive around in, lol. I saw a clip of a "Busa cart" destroying a Porche...classic :-)

A little late on the reply here..... Just saw the thread.

I have raced the last 5 years with a 28'. My car is a 68 Barracuda, and I was able to squeeze in my golf cart. My car has long wheelie bars, and a parachute so I have to load it a bit farther forward. My trailer has "L" shaped cabinets because of the generator box which does not allow me to load the golf cart in sideways.

I carried a foam pad and drove the cart up until it bottomed against the cabinet with the foam pad between. I could not put the rear seat on the cart, but carried it on top of the cabinets to the races. Everything was a tight fit. My first cart was a 48v Yamaha with a lift kit that allowed me to put the spare tire, and other things like the battery charger under the cart. It was heavy though so I have sold it and bought a gas powered one. I had a large roll around plastic storage container at the end of the L cabinet between the cart and the wall. My fuel jugs were in the very back of the trailer in another plastic storage bin between the 1/4 panel and the wall. Jacks, winch, battery ect were in the bottom cabinet. I use an old Onan RV generator and it is mounted in the generator box there would not have been room inside the trailer for any other type of portable generator. Everything was an extremely tight fit and had to be in just the right place. In a trailer without cabinets up front, you might be able to get away with a 26'. I have a friend with a 65 Coronet that ordered his 28' with cabinets on the sides so his cart would fit easier and he is very happy with it.

Since I run in NSS most of the racers are a bit older and we always seem to pit together. Showing up with a cart made things much easier for me and the ones pitted next to me. It was so popular with the wives that I often got calls to see if I was bringing "Barney" to the races. My first cart was Bright Purple with white seats LOL. They laughed and named it Barney the first day I showed up to the races with it....Then everyone wanted to use it. Since we are usually pitted very far away from the starting line and rest rooms, the cart has made racing much more fun for us older folks.

This year I have a new trailer that is a 32'. It should give me plenty of room for the cart and all my gear. I still have to move things over from the old trailer and do a test load, but the extra 4' should be great.

Somewhere on my hard drive I have some pics. If you want to see some let me know and I will dig them up.

-Dave
