Should be no problem between '68 & '69, and probably '70.

The 70 steering column has the ignition switch mounted in it, thus making a larger diameter housing, the B body wood grain wheels were modified with an adapter ring to cover this change, the "standard" wheels are unique to their year applications 68-69 are compatible, 70 are one year only applications...

Might help if you list, post pics of what you intend to do, so that you can be helped further in your swap?

That appears to be a 70 only wheel...the 69 wheel is different.

I just can't tell from the pic, Is the plastic finish smooth or grained? only 70's were grained.

It's a 70 only A & B body deluxe steering wheel. Both pad and wheel are 70. They both have a grained texture.....this wheel appears to have been restored/refurbished based on the amount of grain remaining on the wheel. twocents

I agree with this. The whole thing looks like it was shot with a thick, glossy coating. That’s unfortunate, as the pad had a more satin sheen.

I’m listening.

The thing that I have discovered is that the 1969 horn pad had double stitching and the metal horn ring was a separate piece.
In 1970 the pad had single stitching and the metal horn ring was now integrated with the pad as a single piece.
Here is a picture of the 1969 double stitch pad.
