Just wondering what the best tool would be to remove the exterior windshield/back glass molding from a '70 Challenger.
I see the FSM mentions tool # C-4009, but I could not find anything online about it.
Also, I would like to get a trim tool kit, in particular one that includes what I call the "weed puller" panel fastener remover, (hope that makes sense), but there are so many that I've found online.
Is there one kit that would include most, if not all trim tools that may be needed?
Also, most of them seem to be plastic instead of metal- not sure if that matters.
Primarily would be working on a 1970 Challenger and a 2001 PT Cruiser.

I have been using this tool for the past 40 years. They sell it everywhere, Autozone, Summit etc. It's a $10 tool that has worked on everything.

Both types work fine but the Lisle one is .easier to me

Either of those 2 tools, and the 1st one is available with flat or slightly angled "barbs".
I like to mask off the paint, right to the molding edge, and the glass as well, to avoids chips & scratches.
Patience and carefulness are essential.

as for interior trim tools [especially for the plastic pieces in the new stuff] , i have found that the more of those i have, it seems i need a different one than those in my collection, every time i need to work on something different.
i have reverted to scouring the house and the "boss's" utensil drawers quite frequently, then using tape of all kinds on whatever device i find that will do the job needed at the time.
afterwards, i get to usually keep it because she wants a new one, 'cause i "ruined" her best one !

I'll probably go with the Lisle tool- I've see videos of it in use and it seems pretty fool-proof.
(although I'll probably prove that wrong!)
