Whats the best cold cranking amp battery out there for a 800 Yamaha ATV. These batteries online seem to not last and stink at cranking.
What do you recommend?

You'll have to expand on which online batteries and what you mean about not lasting?

The factory battery in my 660 Grizzly lasted maybe 5 years with plenty of care (kept charged and warm when not using it). It was a straight-up Asian battery and they really all look identical whether you get them from Walmart, the Dealer, or online?

I'm on year 4 of a Lithium ion, so can't say yet if it's a better battery, but it sure works like new.

As far as cranking power, check your connections: my Grizzly is very tempermental on connections. More than once I thought my battery was done and a good cleaning of the positive ring got it going again.

Whichever battery you choose avoid a standard "flooded" lead acid battery as from lots and lots of experience they have issues from vibration in ATV's and motorcycles, Get either an AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) lead acid or a lithium Ion type battery. Some think that a lithium ion battery is not good for cold weather use but watch this video and it may change your mind?

Are you buying the cheapest one you possibly can? If so stop it. Look for something made by Yuasa or an Interstate Battery with a part the begins with FAY.
