1989 Dakota 3.9. This light has been on FOREVER. As in decades. Brakes have been changed a billion times, diff sensor was changed a while back, the module was changed in the kick panel years ago, brake fluid bleed and refreshed, yada, yada, yada. Truck has always stopped fine. Just recently, when you start the truck the light is NOT on. Has ALWAYS been on. But as soon as you step on the brake pedal, the amber light comes on. And NOW the red brake light does NOT come on when you engage the emergency pedal. Always did. [censored]!! This grabbed my attention again and thought I would try and address it again.
