If your CD player is still spinning discs but not playing music, you can take it apart and use alcohol on a Qtip to clean the eye.

Try poking around some sites that are dedicated to the late model stuff. A lot Jeep / Ram sites have a whole section dedicated to hacking the CAN and assorted controllers. Mostly about correcting speedos and other tweaks to the drive line. The car sites are usually bigger on the radio info - adding back up cams, extra screens and head unit swaps. There are a couple software apps that have been floating around for years that will reprogram the radio vin.

Okay thank you for the advice guys I appreciate it.
I bought a used $80 one off eBay. Had the same part number and looked exactly the same. It was plug and play without any effort.
