Wasnt it just 70 Challengers that got the ribbed non rallye dashes with the scalloped edge below the small gauges?

The ribbed version of the standard cluster was 70 Challenger.
Besides the different bezels, the gauges have different markings too.

Ever considered doing a gasket+insulator+anti-rattle kit for e-body Rallye gauge clusters?

I had started to look into it but a Canadian company, premiumdashdeacals.com makes them. I should carry them to resell here in the states. I dont make a product if someone is already doing a great job.

I do have one of their kits. Makes sense not to have overlapping products.
One thing it doesn't have are the 2 felt washers for the clock and the trip meter.

Need some? Have a picture and dimensions? I'm not familiar with those.

The black felt washers I have from an original cluster are:
0.650" OD x 0.280" ID x 0.100" thick
They get sandwiched between the plastic bezel and the steel mounting plate backer for the woodgrain inlay. It looks like there was a tape like adhesive used on one side to hold them in place as well.
This would apply to 70-71 Rallye gauge clusters for e-bodies. Not sure if they were used elsewhere.

The OD cannot exceed 0.675". If it does it will overhang the pocket in the plastic bezel.
The ID cannot exceed 0.340". If it does the washers won't serve their purpose.

PCG was selling them as a pair for $5.00. Sadly, that is no longer an option anymore.
I've googled around and have not found a satisfactory off the shelf replacement (looked at felt washers used for brass musical instruments).

Here is a picture of an original 1970 Challenger standard gauge bezel. This is a one year only 1970 Challenger only part.

The rectangular locating tabs are always broken off. Most don’t know they are supposed to be there.

The ones on this bezel are not broken off, it’s been in storage since 1980.

I'll make these. I'll order the material tonight
