I would contact Crest Ultrasonics, they supply Industrial grade solutions for specific alloys, any thing you buy at parts stores will be junk...

I've been using Evaporust with success. It's about $20/gallon though.

Before you buy expensive cleaners, try tap water with a little Dawn dishwashing detergent added.

I'm supposed to respect my elders, but its getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Evaporust is about $15 a gallon on Amazon.

When I was working for a company making small ultrasonic cleaners, we used ammonia. You want to have the water at least 130 degrees. Don't leave it in the cleaner very long. Max 5 minutes. Remember the ultrasonic attacks aluminum. In my 30 gallon cleaner it will make holes in aluminum foil in 20 seconds.

Dawn would be my second choice for a small cleaner.

i have two ultrasonic tanks. most of the time i use pine-sol and water. Big zip lock bag, put the carb in, then fill the bag with pine sol and water and seal the bag dirty water stays in the bag and keeps your tank clean. keeping it in the bag you can adjust the mix. do not use citrus based cleaners on aluminum.

lots of different stuff on the net for stuff to use. i have had great results with pine sol and its cheap.

I Had been using this stuff http://www.kleenflo.com/products/651-652-653.html but it is no longer available in Canada. Not sure about the US. Worked great but Pretty nasty stuff!!!
Now using this in my ultrasonic cleaner. https://gunk.com/product/gunk-hydro-seal-ii-heavy-duty-parts-cleaner-hs3c/ Not as good, and not as nasty!!!

Chemicals can break down in ultrasonic cleaners and form toxic gasses. I'd hate to hear of anyone getting a case of the deads from not reading the precaution labels.

I use a mix of “LA’s Totally Awesome” from the dollar tree in mine. Works excellent.

I've tried a dozen suggestions from various forums trying to save money on ultrasonic soap but none of them have worked for me. I get great results buying the real stuff from someone that sells ultrasonics. Remember, different metals might require different soap. On old Holley carbs the throttle plate is aluminum but the rest is zinc.

I used simple green and water on my 51 Plymouth's B&B when I rebuilt it.

Worked fine, but it wasn't plugged up either.

This and HOT water. Use it for gun parts all the time as well.
