or is everything going through facebook now? Used to use dodgetalk and ramcharger central but those seem dead now.

I second For Trucks Only. I like the For ____ Only forums. FABO. FBBO, FEBO, even FCBO. I have never had Facebook and never will. Just how I roll. Forum owners would be wise to make their own app and I'm not talking Tapatalk. I was pleased when Craigslist came out with their own app after there were several apps that came out where you could aggregate searches over multiple cities. Now the official CL app does that. Apps are easy enough to create these days so I would like to see Moparts and all the For ____ Only forums get their own.

Yeah, it is a shame that the forums are either slowing down or are already dead for the most part. I try to answer a few questions on facebook to help people out, but the know it all syndrome is almost unbearable. Oh well, I have found a couple trucks for sale on facebook at least.

Yeah i am signed up over there, but this place has a lot more traffic. For trucks Dodge section is pretty dead.

For a while there I was pretty annoyed by the clowns that respond "lmc truck has it" to just about every thing but I got over it. FB market place is a good companion for Craigs - I've made some good scores there. Seems to be the place to go if ya wanna slam yer tin but I got over that too. I dislike the model of no message archive. In a forum like this or RCC or FBBO being able to search it out first is useful.

It baffles me beyond belief how facebook replaced these Forums. Unless I'm missing something, it's complete disorganization buried in pages and pages of irrelevant posts. And that's not counting the relentless advertising.

I use facebook Marketplace on the computer as a last resort to look for something or compare pricing. I search for 2001 Dodge Ram and 10 2001's will show up, with random '97's, 2011's, 2005's, Fords, Nissans, snowmobiles, lawnmowers, and salt and pepper shakers. mad Waste of time.............but that's their goal and people have fallen for it.

my EXACT sentiment. Forums are better in every way to FB groups.

If I see another post about how to replace wiper bushings I think my head might explode.

If ya go back and look at the original objective of FB it's obvious that a posting archive is pretty pointless. As for how it got big: millennial snowflake short attention span theatre. The model used by this and other forums just about predates email entirely so saving posts in to threads is an absolute requirement. Aside from it's reach, using FB for something like this is just beyond dumb. As for MP search functions, yeah it would be nice if they had a clue.

I can admit to getting sucked in to it anyway. It took until about a year ago and the need to track down estate beneficiaries. The upside is more tin grille content than I can get anywhere else even after throwing away 1/2 of it. Apparently there are a lot of people that are doing G3 swaps and / or slamming them - enough for multiple groups on the topic. Also a huge community of 75-79 B body owners, most of which have never heard of FBBO.

Probably the same people who made facebook more popular then forums are the same ones who go to a forum and start a new post without caring what's already there even when it's something that's been asked a million times or an active topic from earlier the same day.
