Any interest in pistons for 413 and 426 wedge? Idea is to offer a std 4.250 bore ( which should save the 413 blocks) and 3 oversizes. for the 426 blocks.
No max wedge pistons but they may have a very small dome if needed to raise cr. 5-7cc?

I’m interested .... but THAT MANY over sizes ?
What kind of cost ? Cost should be about the same as the 383 pistons I did a couple years back. 625.00. Just floating a balloon on oversizes.

426 engine blocks are fairly rare and anyone who can afford a block could easily afford custom pistons. 413 blocks on the other hand are fairly cheap to find since they aren't very desirable. Therefore, I bet you could sell some inexpensive pistons to low buck guys who round up a 413 block and want a decent compression piston. If it was me I'd design a 413 piston that provide 9.5 to 10.0 compression with a cheap head like the 440Source or the E Street. If you do that you might find a market niche in the low buck area. I don't think I'd bother making a 426W piston. Demand for them has to be close to zero. Andy, I think you are correct. 426 demand would be low. However I can use 1 piston blank to cover 3 wedge engines. That is the reason I included all the oversizes.May only need one size. Otherwise this piston is exactly what you called for. Lots of 413 blocks out there.Nothing wrong with a 426 for mostly street use with a E street or pro maxx type cyl head. On a performance note these pistons really wake up these engines esp when they have a stock or trw type piston. My customers all have been very happy with the 383 piston.

I am interested - I have a street wedge that should clean up at .020 or .030 over. Restoration engine
I will be in touch ,as I have to work this out with Icon. Likely will be a preorder deal. Thanks for the interest.

Nice one Mike, Someone showing some genuine interest in early RB’s! I have two 413 blocks, both with little to no wear. Can I find a set of stock pistons from a 60’s high comp engine? NO they all got junked when folks bored them for 426 cubes.... Like the idea of 0.990 pins too. Flat top around Zero deck with some valve reliefs and ‘light as a feather’ whooppee  The 60’s are back in fashion again...

iI had Auto Tec, Race Tec, make the last stet of 413 pistons I had made, 4.150 stroke with a 6.86 long hemi rod bored to 4.25 after sonic testing it first. The block is a 1972 industrial, marine, truck block with the 6 bolt forged steel crank that i used to build a offset 3.91 stroke crank with low deck mains in a 400 block pump gas motor. I'm going to use the the built 413 block pump gas motor in my 1963 Plymouth Fury and tell everybody that is a truck motor warmed up a little
