Somebody has to know. I've read the statement over and over that tire shops won't touch a tire that is over 10 years old. How do they know that if they can't read the date code?

I think they all have a DOT serial no. that gives date of mfg. seems like there was an on line database you can check by mfg AND the numbers. 3717WOULD BE 37WEEK OF 2017 BY DOT STANDARDS.
