Love the Daytona. Turbo? I know the earlier ones had a grill in the hood if it was turbo but that year I don't remember.

If you look on Facebook Marketplace there are a lot of good deals. Some people need the money and because it isn't driven by people watching shill bidding on televised Auction shows the prices are more normal.

Looks like a 1987 or 1988 Shelby Z. In the second generation the offset bump in the hood meant it had a turbo.

Winner! Winner! '87 Shelby Z. Turbo II Intercooled. 175-horse. Last year for no airbags, and I even swapped in the really cool 4-spoke Steering wheel Mother Mopar offered around that time. Everything works now from the A/C to the cassette deck. I'd love to keep it as when I was in high school in the 90's, THIS was the car you wanted. I lucked into it like I usually do, but, can't keep 6 cars anymore and since my Uncle died, I can't use the warehouse anymore for my junk.

Your Shelby is very, very nice. I drooled over it when you had it listed for sale.

I'll have my daily, the Mustang and a couple AMC's. Truth be told, the cost of things and the lack of availability on parts is just getting to be such a downer that dare I say I'm getting near the point of being done playing with cars.

Great looking Daytona.
I have a voice in the back of my head I need one of these or maybe a Shadow instead. For the times they're from these were fun cars .

I've owned 4 Daytonas in the past. 2 were 1987 ShelbyZs; one 5 speed and one automatic.

I still have the two C-bodies in my signature. Both are currently down, but still registered and insured because Maryland. I didn't intend for either to sit as long as they have.
The '67 needs a carb rebuild (or an upgrade to a 4bbl), which I found out about after spending a bunch of money getting the tuneup I botched corrected. Last drove it in October 2019.
The '68 had questionable oil pressure back in 2016, and I spent so much time screwing around on that that now it's got a bunch of 2016-vintage gas in it. Last drove it in 2017.
At least I thought to put Sta-Bil in the '67 early on.

But I've got my Challenger.

What bothers me almost as much as both the Furys being, essentially, paperweights, is that other cars are calling me now. Sometimes 1960s-70s stuff (still want a '66-'67 Coronet), sometimes newer (low-mileage Shelby Charger in Georgia! 2100-mile '89 Daytona in PA! The occasional LeBaron ragtop!).

Loved my turbo Mopars, but they are one of the reasons that my Barracuda has been torn apart since 2007. Sold my last K-car derivative in 2011 or thereabouts and have no desire for another because I don't want another old car to take precedence of my A-body convertibles. Even the 2000 Durango is getting a little long in the tooth, but there's no budget for a replacement especially after buying a new car a the end of August. Maybe if get the job I have an interview for tomorrow we'll be able to upgrade to a newer Durango.

It's not too shabby for sure. I've done all the mechanicals - it's 100% now, finally. Chased down all the electrical gremlins, the A/C has been redone and I even restored the tape player. I'll even throw in the dealer demo cassette and a selection of music!! If somebody were to lay down some fresh paint and adjust the windows, they'd have a near show-quality Daytona.

It's still for sale, I've just not been advertising from lack of interest and all this COVID BS.

Don't feel too bad as my Trans Am is still plated for the exact same reason and it last ran in 2003. I'm working my way around to it but the Barracuda is going first. To report the progress on the Cuda, She got new rockers, trunk extensions, quarters, lower fenders, one new inner fender, rear valance, new rear shock mount, partial trunk floor, converted to 68 style gas straps, frame connectors, front floor pans, torque boxes, and various patches. The underside was epoxied and we sprayed with bedliner. Right now the inside is sanded and about to be epoxied. Strange as I bought this car to be a quick fix in 2004 while I saved up for the Bee. Good luck getting the C-bodies back on the road.

Well haven't been around for a long time but I have my Dart and a 78 B200 van. I don't really drive either one and they're parked behind the drive through gate in the backyard. Dart needs a carb rebuild and some wiring fixed, van has a fuel delivery problem and a current draw that drains the battery. Last time I had to move it I eventually had to pull the float cover on the bbd and fill it with gas to get it to run long enough to move it back in the parking area beside the house.
I recently got lil sisters 06 Charger RT with 90k on it cheap so have been enjoying driving the surprisingly quick fat pig😎 My 95 Neon finally tossed the timing belt so I gave up on it and got the Charger.
Hope everyone is doing good, been a ugly year but ok so far here.
I had 5 cars for a long time but but we sold the 71 Scamp when we bought this house to pair down and cover the taxes.
