I can't imagine calling for a hook and a Duesenberg showing up.

That was amazing - thanks for sharing it! the gauges - altimeter! The original muffler. The inefficient use of space wow! So glad Leno saved it.

I've always been an enthusiast of vintage cars, esp Duesenbergs, but I've got to say the front end treatment is not very attractive compared to traditional Duecy design

A Duesey that's 1 of 1?

Kinda goes without saying, no?

Neat neat car.

Not my personal taste for a Duesy .

But then again NONE of them would be even close to affordable for me

It's interesting how big that car is. I recently saw a Cord up close, and was shocked at how small it was. I had always thought Cords and Deusies were similar in size.

For a few years we lived up in Fort Wayne--not far from Auburn. I had never heard of the ACD Museum before moving up there, but it was awesome.

Those were high-end cars back in the day, and still are. But the craftsmanship that went into them is something that any car guy would appreciate, even if the era/style/price tag is not your cup of tea.

Auburn/Cord/Duesenberg some of the most beautiful cars ever built. Samuel Cord really knew how to build them.

I think his name is E.L. Cord, like Everett Lobban or something like that.

You're right. I don't know why I always thought his name was Samuel.

Thanks for posting that.

Am I the only one who thought:
Mr Lilly should have taken it back to the nearby factory with instructions to remake it into a convertible top?
