This is cool,we had a four door in the same color that my mom would drive.I knew it was her pulling up the hill from the sound of the mechanical tappets...before i knew what they were! I'd drive this one for sure!

shock

Back in the '70's my parents had a friend who owned a green version of this wagon. Too young to know what engine it had, but it had the 'three on the tree'. The lady could shift and backhand her kids in one fluid motion without skipping a beat. laugh2

It got rearended by a Nova. Don't know how fast the Nova was going, but it pushed the tailgate in a good 6 inches and bent the back of the body down to where the back doors wouldn't open.

John

Imagine a '73 Satellite Wagon picture here. 😁

Pretty cool plain jane, but I think they best lower the price. Hate the shifter. Too bad THIS one isn't also three on the tree.

Oh I only scanned the description and it states "Automatic" under "Transmission" on the right. Much better on column.

John that's a funny story about shifting and smacking laugh

Nowadays, the mom is texting and driving, ignoring the kids and letting them do whatever they want.

Odd antenna placement. Wonder if the car was originally optioned without a radio. Also, looks like a passenger side mirror was bolted to the fender at some point?

My first legal car on the road when I was in high school was a 71 Satellite wagon
Blue in and out, slant 6, auto trans manual steering
Took my driving test in it and aced the parallel park requirement part of the test
Wish I still had that car

I like the wagon styling of that era; all they need is the wheel openings filled with wheel & tire and the proper stance.
