I was offered one of these engines thats in an estate sale. Are they any good? I know nothing about the modern Hemi stuff but I've been given first option on it. Is it suitable to make 1000 hp race motor out of or are we talking boat anchor stuff?

That's a pretty easy target with a set of rods, pistons, and boost.

I would look at that as the beginnings of a twin turbo/EFI kit that will bolt to a Gen 3 hemi and I would assume the one it is bolted to is junk until proven otherwise.

I agree with that assessment. It appears to be an engine that came off the no guarantee pile at a junk yard to use to mock up the turbo system. It may or may not be a usable core. It kind of looks like someone spent an hour bolting on the major parts and then quit. It wasn't rusty enough so they set it outside for a couple years. Could be a good start on an expensive project.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

If you can get it cheap then go for it. Don't expect it to fit under a hood.

The turbos and engine may be cores and may still work. You won't know until you get it home and take it apart. Someone has some time in that intake.
