They didn't renew their banner ,said they were cutting back on advertising

But feel free to ask them why directly and let them know you noticed

Man that’s a shame as I think this site really helped them get on the map years ago. We had a few members that really beat them up some ( I won’t name them) but overall I think they went the wrong direction with that decision.

Forums don't get NEAR the traffic they did a few years back. There's been talk about that very subject here on Moparts. Marketing budgets are thin and companies are being very mindful where they spend money. Let's face it.....many more people doing late model swaps compared to big block builds. Times a changin'

It may also be that they have seen the falloff in traffic on this site, because of some persistent things that pop-up and annoy people.

Not really true here on Moparts

YES There are not as many NEW posts and we are now spread out over many more forums

But the number of people not logged in reading the old tech posts is huge

Advertising & marketing in general has taken a dump post-COVID.

The company we are associated with has cut its advertising budget 100%, even to the point of letting the staff that manage the website & social media go.

It’ll probably come back, but when exactly that will be is anyone’s guess. When people aren’t spending money, there’s less reason to spend yours convincing to spend it with you.

Only curious here, because I use Adblockplus and don't see the infolinks crap, but do the infolinks ads appear if the user is not logged in?

Just curious, and I am not about to change anything just to find out ...

It takes gasoline to interest me.

I have been on this site for 16 years. During that time I have not purchased 1 item from an advertiser here because of their ad here.

If an advertiser came to me and asked if an investment here is a good value for them, I'd say "no, not for me",

As for a pop up advertiser, I'd say they present a strong negative impression. Why would you put up an ad to lose customers?

Opposite for me.... discovered a lot good suppliers due to following their ads here. I’ve been here off & on at least that long.

Bouchillon performance & Mancini come right to mind.

I’m with you on the pop ups. I close those without even looking at them.

Same here, purchased many products/services from the sponsors/advertisers here, and also found some unique vendors thru this board as well over the years...

I notice and have purchased from advertisers on this site.

However it is a shame that Infolinks is running members off to other sites.

Install Ghostery browser on your phone. Infolinks will pop a banner occasionally on startup and once you close that one,it's gone.
