Surprisingly, there are more than a few large aircraft like that around for sale/free but how do you move 'em? They often get scrapped for that reason.


I'm supposed to respect my elders, but its getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

Definitely more expensive to move than it would ever be worth. While working for Kalitta in Michigan I was always thinking of how neat it would be to save one of his scrap planes and build something with it. But how do you move something 30ft tall and 200 ft long even with the gear and empanage removed.

On my latest trip to Florida and back to Chicago I saw maybe 4-5 airplanes on flatbeds, so someone is buying and moving them...
