Hey all, just wondering there is a consensus on a ready to run distributor for a very stock 318 auto in a 1927 hot rod. Looking for minimal wiring, all in one style distributor

I am using Holley Sniper F.I. so I would like to go with a great ignition

Thanks in advance. Henry

Holley makes specific ignition system components (distributor, coil, CD ignition box) for the Sniper EFI system. They are called "HyperSpark". I run a Sniper EFI kit on my 74 Plymouth Valiant 440cid with those ignition parts. You'll need to use plugs and wires that are low resistance like spiral core, not solid core wires. There are also some specific wiring hookups to match the HyperSpark parts to the Sniper kit you'll need. These things aren't the cheapest but, they are very high quality and all plug and play because Holley makes them all!

If you have the Sniper then you should install the matching Hyperspark. The Hyperspark will allow you to control timing from the Sniper. That gives you a fully integrated system. You can trigger a CD box from the Sniper. Holley sells a CD box and matching coil or you can use an existing MSD box. The Sniper has a white wire on it which connects to the CD box and provides a points signal.

Thanks Guys, I did exactly that, though other forums and sites I read enough about the hyperspark that sold me. bit more than i wanted to spend but i like the interface with my Sniper EFI.
