Was there an option or standard upper body pinstripe avail or standard on a 1966 Plymouth Satellite

If so, where was it located

I don't believe so, I find NO evidence of a painted "accent stripe" STANDARD or OPTIONAL (spring special ??)

if there was one - it would've been under the "N" of "PAINT"

On the subject of 66 B-bodies. I thought the LA 318 started in 67. However, a good friend of mine(and his brothers) have a 66 Belvedere their dad bought new. They say it has a LA318. Were both available in 66?

I think I've seen a factory upper pinstripe on them back in the day, but that's an old & vague memory.
So I wouldn't rely on it laugh2
Maybe check Hamtramck Historical or a salesman's guide ?

Sounds like your new toy is riding with some other cool stuff.

A 1966 B-body could come with an LA engine, but it was a 273 and a 904. The 318’s were poly only with a 727.

I don’t recall seeing a 66 Satellite with a stripe. Would be too busy with the top body trim.

I think it was standard on a 67 Satellite.

Yeah, after looking at gtx6970's '66 Satellite, that makes sense (no stripe on '66 Satellite).
I'll have to re-arrange those brain cells later this afternoon...

Very nice color combination. I’m learning more everyday with those early fender plates thanks for showing. Also I think I’d have a mostly blank top two lines, no options except the engine-trans-rear
