Why not use even less expensive home heating oil which, from what I understand, is basically diesel without the road tax and red dye added. Cheaper still than road taxed diesel just has red dye to identify it as home heating oil.

Home heating fuel oil is slightly heavier than diesel fuel but shares similar heat-producing properties. A diesel engine produces approximately 139,000 BTUs
(British Thermal Unit) of energy per gallon, the same as heating oil’s 139,000 Btu per gallon. Home heating fuel oil No. 4 and Home Heating Fuel Oil No. 6 offer slightly higher BTU content.

I guess it depends on the type of unit. A friend of mine has an older version of the heater in the link below. It burns Kerosene or diesel. Diesel is a little more stinky.

years ago, mid 80's, my friends and i used to use diesel in our kerosene heater all of the time. it was much more convenient to use.
works fine just smells worse than using the right fuel.

All I use in mine is diesel however mine's vented with a heat exchanger so the smoke goes outside.

Diesel is just fine. I sell pressure washers that are self heating. They use the same style of heater and 99% of the machines I sell live their whole lives on diesel. And, another note to whom it may concern, the InfoLinks pop-up makes this site nearly unusable. Does the ad have to be so intrusive that you have to hit the"x" to get rid of it on every single page, just so you can see the page? It's rare that I also don't get directed to the InfoLink page because I clicked on a thread just before the ad fully loaded, only to find that I clicked or tapped on an ad I couldn't see yet.

Good luck getting a clear and fair explanation on why Infolinks was allowed to infect this site.

I don't get any pop-ups here or on the Bullet. I think it is because I have my security settings set high. I don't want the ad crap that they are determined to throw into my computer. I won't go into any site that DEMANDS that I drop my security settings to let them in just to look at their site. Someone nearly always posts the info elsewhere anyway.

Mopar Connection magazine is at the top of that list. They actually said to me when I complained about the issue that 'they politely request that my security level be lowered'. They won't allow their site to be accessed unless the security is dropped. Sounds more like a demand than a polite request to me. Like so many of their TV show counterparts, their articles are basically paid advertisements anyway. So, no big loss. tsk

Master, again and still

To avoid the info pop ups download adblock plus. It's free and works great.
