Wood bed floor was painted. They changed from the tuff wheel to what people called the omni one partway thru the year. Speakers always seem to be a gamble if the holes have been hacked out or not. Mine have been changed too but I don't know how much they bastardized the doors to make them fit. It's hard to tell from your pic but that speaker looks kinda big.

Bed floors were painted red when new. Late 79's (like mine) had the Omni (and other fwd's) Sport wheel. Those speakers are not o.e. Original door speakers were hidden behind a rectangular plastic grille - my speaker grilles are red & match my red interior - I can't say if the black interior trucks had black ones or not.

Here is a picture of what I can see of the speaker. My fear is that they have been cut out and are not the original size any more. unlikely hacked but should be down the list of concerns. wanna saw oem hole looks like 2 overlapping round holes. usual mod is take enough to get a 6x9 in.

sweeet!! '78 would be my choice. Bird Bath Hood, round headlights. I like the quad headlights on '79's but I think it's sentimental reasons because I had a quad headlight D150 in high school. I love the '78 front end too though. And didn't the '78 360 have better performance too?
Facts are stubborn things.
