It takes a different firewall reinforcing plate for a manual. Is yours a Bendix or midland ross booster?

Not just the plate but also a master pusrod for manual brakes. Then get a master for say a 70 C body with discs. They work great as thats all we use on conversions.IIRC the pedal holes should be the same.Rocky

i have always thought the pedal ratio for the manual brake master had the attachment hole closer to the pivot so as to give a more advantageous ratio needed for the manual brake master ? shruggy

The manual brakes cly connects straight to the pedal. The powers uses the lever system under the dash.

Me too.
Looking at the parts books, looks like C bodies did, but early through 69 B used the same pedal. Now the 70 parts book does show a new pedal for B body Power Brakes Auto but used the same pedal for either brake system with Man trans, and the Man brake Auto trans same as earlier pedal.

But you need to check the pedal.
There are two holes sometimes and you have to change it to the other hole when switching between power and manual.

Instead of swapping the firewall plates you can buy an adapter from Mancini or Andy F. (I think) which fits between the plate and mc and converts from 4 bolts to two. Also, a late model aluminum Mopar mc with a 1-1/32 bore is ideal for this swap.

You can get the kit from Dr. Diff, highly recommend his products. I've gone manual disc from manual drum on my RR. I got his 15/16" alum. master cyl.
