I recently finished rewiring my 70 Charger, but one of the door jamb connectors (two on each switch) ripped off. It looks like a 56 series, but not the 1/4” size, its closer to the 3/16” size that other types come in. Does anyone know where to get these connectors or am I stuck getting a different kind? Also M&H was no help.

Heres the small 56 connector next to a 1/4” 58 series.

Try a local electronics shop. The kind that sells anything to do with radio, stereo, CB, etc. If you can not find a local one, pm me and I'll give you the name of a shop that I know will have them in stock.

When you can, post a photo of the connector too.

What you are showing with side rolled springs is a "Chrysler style" terminal. Terminal is the term you'll want to use when looking for these.
Packard 58 series and AMP Fast-on are two other groups of terminals using that form of retension.
Packard 58, like Packard 56 is strictly 1/4" wide.
Packard 59 is bigger, so that's one to look for.
Sometimes, but not always, a Packard terminal or AMP terminal will fit properly in a 'Chrysler' connector and visa versa.

Packard = Delphi = Aptiv (the most current name)

I had some luck with terminals made for Japanese motorcycles. So that's worth looking into.

Some terminals

These folks have pretty much all that Auvco offers. Not perfectly organized, so you'll have to hunt to se if they have the wider terminals.

Mouser has Packard 58 in stock (some).

These are not exactly the same as the original Chrysler terminals, but probably close enough to get you a cigar.

Thank you guys very much, I haven't been on here in awhile, but I did find what look to be the correct size terminals from McMaster-Carr. Were the terminals for the 2 prong door jambs not originally .187" like the M&H harness, or are they just harder to find for some reason?

If you do find the correct terminal at McMaster, can you post their part number here? Would be handy to have.

The part number for the .187" size is 69525K19, which is for 22-18. I haven't been able to look at them yet, but can someone confirm if these are right?

I probably have one on my original harness if you want me to clip it off.

If you could measure it simply for research purposes that would be great. It just seems like it's too hard to find a connector in this size if it was OEM.

Just for future help I wanted to update this thread. I'm still not sure if these small terminals were or were not OEM, but they were fitting my original 2 prong door jamb switch. The McMaster-Carr 3/16" terminal that I referenced earlier fit well, just a simple crimp and it went on the door switch.
