I picked up a gasser project a few years ago and want to make it more of a street gasser than full race car. Prior owner spent many hours redoing the firewall in order to slip in a BB. and push it back a bit past the firewalls original location. What's out there to allow me to install wipers and a wiper motor? Everything is gone from the factory brackets and mounting points. Thanks

Yep, like he said. If we knew what the older gasser was, we may be more helpful, I'm not into guessing games on the subject vehicle. Lots of old Mopars don't have much aftermarket support, there isn't much if you don't have the wiper pivots. Gene

If everything is gone, you might be farther ahead to install an aftermarket system. Newport Engineering makes an awesome after market wiper system, they may have a full kit for your car. Not cheap, but they work. Gene

It was all removed. I saw some pics of street cars/hot rods that had flat/smooth firewalls. Figured they had some trick.

They have complete systems, with pivots, linkage, motors, switches, wiper blades w/ arms, and motors, but I think you need to call them. I know I've seen 40s GM kits with everything.
Since you don't have anything, I suspect you can use any kit they have that will position the wiper blade where they will clear the windshield in front of you.
Just another thought, lots of the modern Mopars have the entire wiper system in a plastic tray that needs to be removed to access the motor, maybe one of those set ups can be made to work in your car. Think Dodge Intrepid, and Mopar mini vans, to start with. Gene
