Hi I have a 1970 Plymouth GTX. I would like to know if anyone has a template or factory measurements to mount a passenger side mirror. I tried looking through the 1970 FSM, but I had no look finding anything and the things is over a 1,000 pages long. Any advice or help would be appreciated!

I was only inquiring because I read a long time ago that they do not go in the same exact spot for the passenger side. There is supposedly a template and I was hoping someone would have it.

AS FAR I KNOW, 70s passenger side got a diff location due the vent window post being in the middle, by a tad, but still diff position.

iagree I don't think they will be the same because of the position of the driver.

My bird has only one mirror, however sitting in the driver seat there would be absolutely no obstruction (regardless of seat location) from the vent window frame if there was a mirror.

Same here, both mirrors same location, with the trim, they wouldn't go anywhere else.

My 1970 Sport Satellite has the original doors and it came from the factory with dual mirrors.

From the front driver door edge to the mirror base, 19 3/4" inches.

From the front passenger door edge to the mirror base, 19 1/4" inches.

So on my car (yours may differ) there is a 1/2" difference.
