Looking at getting some ideas on where to find replacement parts for my SSBC rear brake kit. I believe this is the A155 kit. The site says "D347" brake pads and they look like the ones I have. My rotors are cast with "86730".

Can anybody confirm the application I can use for sourcing the pads/rotors? I don't want to go through SSBC and pay premium money if parts house parts will do.

Thanks! thumbs

The original SSBC is out of business frown
There is purportedly a new company that bought the assets LINKY TO NEWSSBC WEBSITE
They should be able to tell you the original application for the pads/ rotors. The rotor may be a "special" app though shruggy

I believe Summit is still offering their kits so the may be able to help as well

To answer your question the D347 when googled pops up in multiple locations. beer

It appears that the calipers/pads in this kit fit a late 80's/early 90's Ford Thunderbird. I went ahead and ordered a new set of Bendix ceramic pads and had the rotors turned down 5 thousandths on each side to take of the grooves out. I am not a big fan of turning rotors but these are rear brakes and I am hoping the small amount taken off won't be an issue.

My rotors don't match what I saw of the Thunderbird parts. The rotor hats seem deeper on mine. Pads and calipers seem to be a match.

.005 a side is equivalent to zero. They'll be fine. If you spend some time digging the are several forums that list purported sources of the rotor. However the general consensus appears to be that SSBC re-drilled the bolt pattern beer

Turning rotors is a regular mechanical and mantenience proceedment. Hence the reason why they get the minimum thickness rate casted or stamped somewhere. You don't have to worry ( even less for that ammount ). Even less on a car is not a driver.
