Anyone used one yet? Is the 1/2 second drop in ET they advertise anywhere close to reality? How does it sound?

Thinking about buying one for my 6.4 SRT8 hemi ram.

If it doesn't deliver 3 tenths and 3mph in the 1/4 mile over factory, we will take the unit back and pay shipping both ways. You are out "NOTHING!"

From their website^^^^^

If they honor this not much risk.

have you ever heard one? Do they sound any better than the stock intake set up?

30 HP without any other changes? Sounds like BS to me.

While far from a Ram truck a guy I know at the track put a Veraram kit on a New Z06(2005) and it picked up a bunch, both on the track and the dyno. So they do know what they are doing, but that still sounds crazy.

Well I finally bit the bullet and got one for my 6.4 SRT8 2011 Ram 1500.

Fit and finish leaves a bit to be desired butt I did get it all adjusted where it is sealing against the hood and throttle body and now it has that typical aftermarket stuff look (cheap).

As fer noise, I can barely tell it's there unless I'm hitting the throttle pretty hard and the RPM up above 3500-4000 then it sounds awesome... perfect for my hunting trips as I need it to be quiet while driving backroads witch is the reason I chose this instead of exhaust upgrades.

No drag strip around here so no before and after ET or MPH or any of that but... I cruise down to my hunting area 88 miles eachway, up and down hills on the highway with a 70mph speed limit about 1/2 of the way then another 1/2 is on dirt roads about 45-55 mph. Before on the paved road I set the cruise at 70 and it down shifts 7-8 times and one hill it goes down to 3rd and it is super anoying because I know good and well the motor can pull the truck up those hills without downshifting (I hate automatics!). I put the intake on yesterday before going down and it only downshifted 1 time on the 70 MPH part of the trip with the cruise set at 70 just like before (the hill it normally goes to 3rd on it went down to 4th) . I also was watching my live data on my scanner both before and after installing it and at 70 it is using a lot less throttle angle to maintain my speed, down normally from 15-20% to 10-15%. I was expecting to see more fuel trim changes but it was about the same, I guess the computer knows what to do with a denser air charge from the MAP sensor or somethign.

Passing power feels a lot better but it could just be a placebo effect as it sounds like it is a performance machine now.

The one last thing is the MPG readout, I drove with the cruise on the same speeds on the same drive in the same weather wednesday and thursday on the same tank of fuel, after getting back from the entire trip down and back on wensday it was showing 18.9, then yesterday after trying to duplicate everything as accurately as i could it was showing 19.6 MPG and that included the first trip with the stock intake without resetting it and a few WOT blasts to hear how it sounded. Now I know you guys are gonna call it a "lie o meter" and while I have found it to be off it is at least consistant so next time I fill the tank I will know exactly how much change it made but I can also tell you I now have more fuel left after those two trips than I normally do.

Overall I would venture to say your engine will last longer as it won't be reving so high to maintain speeds, trans will last longer because it shifts a lot less and MPG is going to improve significantly because of less downshifting, HP should logically be up significantly as well and certainly feels like it is. I also have a 2014 5.7 dodge 2500 I will be trying one on, (maybe this one) I am curious if it will make such a difference on a heavier truck with smaller engine.

Interesting, didn’t see any prices on their site, how much was it?

$336.99 from summit.

I also have noticed that it runs in 4 cylinder mode a ton more now also, probably because of the much lower throttle angles and part of the dramatic increase in MPG along with the much reduced downshifting.

I was very skeptical because of my past experience with "cold air intakes" but this thing is pretty awesome.
