fatsat OP member F Joined: Nov 2012 Posts: 103 NorCal	Installing a vinyl top and got a bit of adhesive on the vinyl. Using the 3M super trim adhesive. What's a good product to remove that?

Clean several types of reactive adhesives from a variety of substrates quickly and efficiently with the 3M General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner. This cleaner can effectively remove silicone polish, tar, oil, epoxies, tree sap, light paint overspray, bugs, urethane, wax, and other stubborn adhesives from the surface. Containing a blend of many solvents, this adhesive cleaner is specially formulated not to harm properly cured automotive paint, fabrics, or vinyl when used as directed. This General Purpose Adhesive Cleaner will not cause any damage to dry paints. It does not require wiping the surface with a dry cloth. burdar Owen's Dad Joined: Oct 2006 Posts: 7,363 Iowa	That stuff works great. The guy who installed my vinyl top got a lot of extra glue on areas that weren't covered by the vinyl. That 3M adhesive remover took it right off without hurting the paint.

GMP440 top fuel G Joined: Feb 2003 Posts: 1,637 Florida	I use baby oil. Works really good at taking vinyl top adhesive off vinyl or on painted surfaces. Won't take any paint off and smells good.
