Great looking setup. I think 64 Plymouth's are one of the best looking cars Chrysler Corp. made.

Here are all my pictures from the MoParty! It was a really nice show, with something for everyone. And when the waterpark and amusement park is at full strength it should be perfect.

We had a great time at the Holley MoParty! drive

I made about 6 or 7 passes over the course of Friday and Saturday.
I'm not used to a Pro-Tree at all so my reaction times sucked.

The weather and the air was great, my best time was a 13.23 at 106 mph.

I was happy with that being on street tires,
I've gotten a 12.95 at 106 mph before on some well worn drag radials.

Not bad for a big heavy 300 SRT that mostly stock.

I think that Beech Bend Raceway is an awesome facility.
The people running it were doing a great job.

We were pitted back a ways on Friday and Saturday, they had a guy on a cart going around letting you know that your class was called to the lanes.
Since it was hard to hear the announcer over the PA (pitted along the return road so constant race car traffic), that was a great help.

One of out buddies Dan Smith aka Qwkmopardan on here made it to the Runner Up (Finals) in both Pro and Super Pro.

Of course there were some burnouts at the hotels.

Here's a pic from where we were pitted Friday, I sold a few parts and Kayse (wife) sold the custom pillows, bandanas and small quilts she makes.

We were pitted next to a buddy (James) with his 66 Coronet.

Of course they ran out of larger size event shirts by Saturday morning, but you can order them online and still get the show pricing of $10 each with Free Shipping if you use the promo code MOPARTY20.
As we were leaving we stopped at the T-Shirt tent so Kayse could take a picture of the sign with the promo code and a worker was taking it down and he literally gave Kayse the sign. laugh2

I took a bunch of videos of racing Sunday, I'll probably put them on Youtube and post a link to them.

The word was that they'll be doing it again next year, it'll now be on our list of events we go to every year. up

We had a great time, even the wife had fun! We camped in the RV park at the track, surprised more people didn't do that, maybe next year. The Mr. Norms display was great, and I even sold the 71 Demon I brought for my old boss and delivered it to Columbia, TN the next day, so we got another day to hang out down there. We also took a drive down to where I think I want to move, and had a great pizza and craft beer in that town, that is very important to the wife and I, LOL...

I had a great time too and very impressed with the show for the first time it happened. It should only grow from here!
They have all the bases covered; car show, swap, drag strip, auto cross, exhibitions, camping, even an amusement park adjacent if someone wanted to drop off the family while daddy enjoyed the show!
I hope to be back next year.

I've started uploading the videos from the Holley MoParty to Youtube.

I'll keep adding them, it will take a little while to upload all of them.

I've got the Wing Car parade and the General Lee jump up there now.

They're just smart phone videos so they're nothing professional. laugh2

I talked to you on Sat and had no clue it was you..lol

My wife was on a scooter and bought some fabric. We were checking out the pillows but didn’t buy one.

One of the high ups running the race program said they have a 5 year deal for this event and they hope to extend that soon. He said they’re not sure if it will be the same date or not, it depends on some of the other shows and what they do next year. As he put it, they want to compliment the Mopar community, not conflict with other events.

It sure is a great track and facility.

Dennis

I told the two guys that I met, one who is running the event, that the date was perfect! I really hope they keep it... luck

It's definitely a great track and they do a great job of running it.

My wife remembers selling your wife the bandanas to make a pillow out of.
I think I remember talking to you, but I also seem to suffer from, CRS (can't remember sh*t) whistling

We'll be back every year they have it.
The way that this year has gone, I'm ready to go again right now. laugh2
