After you leave my place and go west on US 20 the town of Galena, IL is a cool old berg with Ulysses S Grant's home, and don't forget to stop by Jeff Bobst's place in Waverly, IA to see the billions of Mopar cars and parts he has...

Grand Coulee Dam, Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore, Glacier NP, Yellowstone, Badlands NP, etc
Are you pulling a trailer?

It is an impressive site IMO, unless you are a mountain climber, a hike around the base and a few pics, makes it only a 2? hr stop.

Parking with a trailer at Devil's Tower can be a challenge if they are busy. You get a pretty good view of it from though even if you don't drive inside. We were at Grand Coulee Dam a month ago and everything was closed, visitor's center, no tours and even no laser light show at night. Not worth stopping by unless things have reopened.

Grand Coulee dam was a disappointment to my wife and I after seeing Boulder, Hoover, dam We took another day trip (150 miles form us) several years later to go see the Bonneville dam on the one day Pres Obama allowed the federal government to shut down due to budgeting wars with the congress We will make that trip again, maybe later this year or early next year My wife is afraid of staying in motels now so no overnight trips involving staying in a motel, stupid broad We will celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary on the 3rd of September, man, what a trip this has been

Yep bringing a car out and taking a car back on the trailer. Done most of the National Parks, only thing I still need to do is Devils Tower. It is just a darn large tree trunk! They did ground scanning this year and found a 5 mile long root system!

Stoped at Devils Tower a few years back. Was pulling a 33 ft travel trailer. There is a lot as you enter thr park where you can drop your trailer.
