Can any hose be used with the push lock fittings or does that take a special hose? I would like to use black braided hose on these push locks.

Follow the instructions. The mfg tells you which fittings go with which hose.

I bought them off Ebay last year and can't remember the brand. I do know the hose i have would be a super tight fit on the fittings, not sure i could even get these to slide on. ok, Thanks Andy

Mixing and matching random parts is not a good idea. Different vendors will sell different styles of push lock type hose. I wouldn't mix and match random parts on a race car, especially on fuel or oil lines. If one blows off you'll have a big problem. When I use push lock stuff I only buy from one vendor so I know everything I have will work.

I echo Andy's sediments here. Fuel and fluid lines are no place to gamble, especially with sub par chinese fittings. I watched a buddy almost drive his car through the starting line booth last year when a box store brand oil fitting broke and sent oil under the car. You get what you pay for.

You can use just about any socketless/push lock fittings with a hose designed for such hose end fittings. The basic SAE code for such hose is 100R6. You can mix and match these style of hoses and fittings without too much worry. Not so much with fittings that are reusable or crimped. They need to match like Garanimals clothing.

The application and pressures will also come into play with hose end selection.
