How were these attached to the car ?
I can only imagine drilling and bolting on somehow.
Considering buying a set, I don't question the quality of the parts but seems like
they would have to be pretty sturdily attached.

A bunch of holes, there are 3 sheet metal screws if I recall correctly for each of the 2 hinges on the roof, and 2 hood pins with notches in them that are below the rear window used in the installation.

...............and I'll add, I'm going to buy a set for my Cuda. Is there only one source actually making these, and how do they fit? (I think I know where these are actually made & it's in the USA. Just wondering if they are the only manufacturer.)

The shop that I know of that is laser-cutting & stamping the sections is here in MI., & they do fabulous work. I would bet they are not scrimping on the material. I just don't know if they are the only ones producing the parts. They were also stamping a lot of air-cleaner stuff for the 6-packs & hemis. I saw what they were doing a few years ago when I was at their facility.

Since Dave and I took over Dale's Cuda Shop at the end of 2019, we have been working to bring the louvers back into production on a steady schedule. We are still using the original tooling and processes that Dale and Charlie developed many years ago. The materials are cut and formed over at the DCS building and then brought back to PA for sanding, welding, powder coating and final assembly. It is a fairly labor extensive process and we are trying to turn out at least four sets of each style each month to meet the demand.

I am not aware of a second manufacturer of the louvers, but that does not mean that someone else is not doing them. I believe that those who have compared the DCS louvers to the OEM louvers, that they are pleased with the fit and appearance.

Thanks,
Richard
