Mopar and Crane ended up going with .565 offset on P5153899 and 3900 (retail $636 for either pn). I have a set of 3900s, and also a set of the Hughes 1.5s ($595 retail) and Hughes states they're using .600 offset. If I ever get around to using the heads or any of the other paraphenalia I'll let you know how it works out....but as Brian states, I'd expect to check and correct the pushrod clearance in every case. For now I haven't come close enough to seeing the potential of unported rpm heads, let alone Victors....but it's fun to look at all the pretty parts sitting on the shelf I guess

Would Indy 440-1 rockers work on the victor heads?
Maybe the offset would be correct but I think the standard Mopar rocker arms are actually a little too long for the Victor head. The Victor head is taller than a production head so the pushrods and valves are both longer. Since those two items are at an angle to each other as they get longer the distance between them gets shorter.

I am going to try some Victors this year. I'll post some results in a couple weeks. Here's a pic with Hughes rockers .600 offset. The heads needed a fair amount of pushrod clearancing. .750 offset rockers would really make a lot of pushrod angle. My next set of roller lifters will be offset!

How much higher would a 440 need to rev, to get the most out of the victors, compared to a larger engine.
